BCKC In The Community
Our annual events provide funds that allow us to give back to our community. We are proud to be able to support organizations that provide research, education, and care for the benefit of all dogs.

BCKC sponsored an AKC Pet Disaster Relief Trailer >>
AKC Reunite, working in conjunction with AKC clubs, raises funds to help supply stocked mobile AKC Pet Disaster Relief trailers that deliver essential, nonperishable necessities for sheltering pets when and where needed to local emergency management. The trailers provide animal care services during the first critical hours following a disaster, before FEMA support and services can be deployed.

BARCS Animal Shelter is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. BARCS fills the role of animal sheltering and care for Baltimore City and is an essential service, operating as a safe haven and community resource 365 days a year—every year since 2005. BARCS upholds this unwavering commitment to the animals they serve through private donations from our community and beyond.
At Morris Animal Foundation, we work every day to improve and protect the health of animals through scientific innovation, education and inspiration. We are committed to fighting animal diseases worldwide in species ranging from cats and dogs to horses and alpacas; amphibians and wildcats to anteaters and elephants.
Take the Lead was founded in 1993 as a not-for-profit foundation under Section 501 (c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code dedicated to provide direct services, support and care for all qualified participants in the sport of dogs who suffer from the devastating realities of life-threatening or terminal illnesses.
The Foundation is dedicated to advancing the health of all dogs and their owners by funding scientific research and supporting the dissemination of health information to prevent, treat and cure canine disease.
AKC Reunite donates emergency supplies and monetary grants to 501c3 organizations that provide emergency pet sheltering and care when disaster strikes. Relief coordination during these uncertain times can be chaotic – especially when disaster evacuation mandates are not followed or when waiting for days for FEMA support and services to be deployed. This is why AKC Reunite created the AKC Pet Disaster Relief trailer donation program!
Hero Dogs, a Maryland 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, improves the quality of life of our nation’s heroes and enhances the services of community organizations by placing assistance dogs with customized training and lifetime support.
Carroll County 4-H Dog Show >>
The Carroll County 4-H Dog Club provides dog training classes for 4-H youth members to learn conformation handling, and to teach their dogs obedience and rally trial skills. A dog show is held as part of the annual Carroll County 4-H and FFA Fair allowing these members to showcase the things they have learned during the training classes. Baltimore County Kennel Club donations have supported awards for fair show participants in the form of leashes to be used in competition.
